I have just heard the amazing news that the beautiful young woman I was helping her family support will be going to a specialist unit. No, its not always the right thing, yes sometimes the community can cope with and help the sufferer however being open and honest when it is all too much and that there needs more intensive therapy is a huge step. The parents have had to fight to get this placement and I am so proud to have been able to help them in their journey. Of course I will always be there and I know this is no quick fix however it is a step in the right direction.
I have also been asked to speak to another group of Doctors which makes me so hopeful that we are moving in some small ways forward with how we treat Anorexia and am doing my own research into equine assisted therapy and also natural drugs that can have an impact.
I am humbled tonight that a mum feels I have helped so much to save her daughters life. I am just a mum, a mum who cares and had a daughter die.
To all of you trust and believe as there is a chance, a change and a life. xxx
